Mining and Tunnel Ventilation

Mining and tunnelling are the main application areas for SINDFAN fans, covering auxiliary ventilation of development headings, impellers for main fans, and tunnel jet and induction ventilation.

Mining

• Adjustable axial impellers Ø630-2800 mm, 9 / 12 / 18 blades, adjustable mounting angle
• Auxiliary fans in single-stage and two-stage contra-rotating versions, with a rail-wheel chassis for underground movement

Tunnels

• Jet fans Ø500-1600 mm, 50 Hz one-way or reversible, thrust 152-1988 N
• High-temperature motors: 250 °C/1 h, 300 °C/2 h, 400 °C/1 h for smoke extraction in tunnel fire conditions
• Bearing life L10 ≥ 20000 h (ISO 281 mean 100000 h)
• Configurations: bell-mouth section / 1D silencer / 2D silencer

Large axial

• Large-diameter axial impellers Ø1600-3150 mm with 8-pole motors for tunnel and mine main ventilation
